NFL Delivers Harsh Discipline Over Houston Texans Game

The NFL issued multiple fines following the Week 2 matchup between the Houston Texans and the Cincinnati Bengals. Although the Bengals defeated the Texans 20-6, Cincinnati was hit with seven fines totaling $101,497. Six of those infractions targeted wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins for obscene gestures and illegal celebrations.

Head coach DeMeco Ryans and the Texans avoided any financial discipline despite two notable on-field penalties during the contest. Tight end Foster Moreau avoided a potential fine for lowering his head on a tackle, while offensive lineman Keylan Rutledge was not fined for unnecessary roughness after an altercation with Bengals defensive tackle T.J. Slaton.
