The Houston Texans circled back to former Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos running back Deuce Vaughn for a role on the team.

The Houston Texans are signing running back Deuce Vaughn to their practice squad, according to a report by Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 on October 5. Vaughn, a former sixth-round draft pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 2023, briefly spent time with the Texans during the preseason before being waived ahead of the regular season.
Vaughn made NFL Scouting Combine history in 2023 by measuring as the shortest player on record at 5-foot-5. Over his NFL career, he has logged 110 rushing yards and 58 receiving yards, and his return capabilities could potentially lighten the special teams workload for Texans wide receiver Jaylin Noel.
