The Story in 60 Seconds

The Indianapolis Colts are open to trading star running back Jonathan Taylor as trade discussions remain active and ongoing following the departures of Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner. While Indianapolis is taking calls rather than actively shopping Taylor, the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings have emerged as frontrunners to land the seventh-year back.

Indianapolis previously sought a first-round pick and a defensive tackle, having already turned down an offer featuring a second-round pick and another selection. An acquiring team would owe Taylor around $4.4 million for the rest of the season, but no trade is imminent and Taylor is expected to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
