Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor issued a warning to teammates following an embarrassing 42-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Taylor stressed that circumstances will only get harder as opponents target the struggling 2-6 team, which has dropped four consecutive games. Following recent trades of team leaders Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner, Taylor has assumed greater leadership responsibilities despite his own uncertain future ahead of the NFL trade deadline.
Taylor struggled during the defeat, managing just 23 yards on eight carries. Meanwhile, head coach Shane Steichen indicated he would evaluate every position moving forward, including quarterback, after benching starter Daniel Jones in favor of Anthony Richardson Sr. in the fourth quarter. Jones threw two interceptions against Jacksonville, bringing his season tally to 12 total turnovers.
