The Story in 60 Seconds

The Indianapolis Colts signed veteran wide receiver Mecole Hardman and punter Thomas Morstead to their practice squad on Tuesday. The roster additions provide depth for Indianapolis' receiving corps and offer insurance following an injury sustained by starting punter Rigoberto Sanchez.

Sanchez was injured during Sunday's 26-20 loss to the Tennessee Titans when his punt was blocked. Morstead, a 17-year veteran with 1,004 career punts, steps in if Sanchez cannot play. Hardman, a three-time Super Bowl champion with Kansas City, looks to bolster the receiver group after failing to make Buffalo's roster this summer.
