Titans GM Mike Borgonzi got an offer he couldn't refuse, and now Jeffery Simmons is a Chicago Bear.

The Tennessee Titans agreed to trade All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears after receiving an unexpected, massive draft-pick package. Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi, head coach Robert Saleh, and controlling owner Amy Adams-Strunk approved the blockbuster deal after Chicago general manager Ryan Poles presented an offer considered too lucrative to decline.
Tennessee acquired two first-round draft picks in 2027 and 2028 along with a 2027 fourth-round selection in exchange for Simmons. The move leaves the rebuilding 1-6 Titans without their primary defensive leader, while Simmons was reportedly surprised and disappointed by the unexpected trade.
