The UF Health Spotlight will take place at the beginning of halftime as part of the NFL's Crucial Catch initiative during Week 3 against the Patriots on Sunday, September 27.
The Jacksonville Jaguars will honor four cancer survivors during halftime of their Week 3 game against the New England Patriots, presented by UF Health. Fans at the game will also be invited to participate in an "I Stand For" moment to show support for survivors and those battling cancer.
Among those recognized are Jess Thornton, who was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer in 2024, and Larry Long, who was treated for head and neck cancer in 2023. Shane McIntosh, an advocate who was tested via the UF Health Cancer Connector, will also be featured.
