Jacksonville Jaguars two-way player Travis Hunter expressed optimism regarding his ongoing development as the team prepares to host the New England Patriots in Week 3. Hunter, the No. 2 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, returned to the field this season after sustaining a season-ending knee injury in October during his rookie campaign.
Through the opening two games of the 2026 season, Hunter has primarily lined up at cornerback, logging 66 defensive snaps in rotation with Jarrian Jones and Montaric Brown. Head Coach Liam Coen and defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile both emphasized plans to continue developing Hunter's role, which also includes 16 offensive snaps across Weeks 1 and 2.
