We’re just past the quarter point of the NFL season, so we have enough data and film to predict which teams can actually make the Super Bowl. Between now and February, it’s nice to talk about which teams have started…
Writer Daniel Rios names the San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Minnesota Vikings as his top five Super Bowl contenders. Rios highlights the 6-0 start of the 49ers behind quarterback Brock Purdy and head coach Kyle Shanahan, as well as the undefeated Chiefs being revitalized by running back Kenneth Walker III alongside Patrick Mahomes.
Rios also identifies Josh Allen's Bills, Liam Coen's Jaguars, and Brian Flores' undefeated Vikings defense as legitimate contenders despite various challenges. He notes that while Buffalo and Minnesota contend with defensive and offensive limitations respectively, Jacksonville's balanced coaching and rookies make them a strong threat.
