Our first Chiefs mock draft of the season uses Kansas City's 10 projected picks to add new weapons for Patrick Mahomes and address several long-term needs.

Writing for Arrowhead Addict, Matthew Chabot published a 2027 NFL mock draft projecting how the Kansas City Chiefs could utilize 10 potential draft picks. Chabot argues the Chiefs should target Clemson wide receiver Bryant Wesco Jr. in the first round to provide quarterback Patrick Mahomes with a true primary receiving target for years to come.
Chabot's projections address several long-term roster needs, projecting Kentucky offensive tackle Lance Heard in the second round and Georgia tight end Lawson Luckie in the third round. Additional selections include defensive back Robert Fitzgerald, linebacker Tony Rojas, cornerback AJ Harris, wide receiver Tre Richardson, running back Wayne Knight, offensive lineman Mark Nabou Jr., and safety Jordan Castell.
