Speaking on the Arrowhead Addict podcast, Yates stated that the 2024 first-round pick has struggled to translate his record-setting combine speed into explosive plays, noting he gets knocked off his line too easily.

The Chiefs enter their bye week at 4-0 but recently saw receivers Tyquan Thornton and Rashee Rice leave Week 4 with injuries. Yates suggested a reunion with free-agent wideout Tyreek Hill could be an option, while also expressing optimism that Rice's hamstring injury may heal before Week 6.
