Butker's future as the Chiefs' starting kicker has been under renewed scrutiny after a number of misses and the controversial arrival of Justin Tucker.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid confirmed that kicker Harrison Butker will retain his starting spot for the upcoming matchup against the New York Jets at Arrowhead Stadium. Butker's position had come under intense scrutiny following another missed field goal during a 28-24 loss to the Denver Broncos, marking his sixth miss of the season.
Despite Butker's struggles, former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker will remain on the Chiefs' practice squad. Tucker recently signed with Kansas City after serving a 10-week NFL suspension stemming from sexual misconduct allegations, which he has denied.
