Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice has filed for bankruptcy in Texas, listing $3.5 million in debts and $677,054 in personal assets. Most of the liabilities are tied to civil litigation stemming from a 2024 high-speed crash in Dallas and assault allegations made by an ex-girlfriend. Rice is currently in the final season of his four-year rookie contract with the Chiefs.
His largest listed debt is a $979,837 settlement related to the 2024 Dallas collision, which previously resulted in a 30-day jail sentence, probation, and a six-game NFL suspension. Rice is also disputing $700,000 in additional crash-related lawsuits and $200,000 concerning the alleged assaults.
