With receiver injuries piling up, the Chiefs must give rookie Cyrus Allen the opportunity to prove himself.

Writer Lucas Strozinsky argues that the Kansas City Chiefs must give rookie wide receiver Cyrus Allen significant playing time following mounting receiver injuries. Kansas City moved to 4-0 in Week 4, but Tyquan Thornton suffered a severe ankle injury requiring surgery that will sideline him for 12 to 16 weeks, while Rashee Rice also exited early with a hamstring issue.
Strozinsky notes that Allen, a 2026 fifth-round draft pick out of Cincinnati, has logged just 10 offensive snaps and six routes through four games. The writer believes head coach Andy Reid should test Allen's ability to beat man coverage and create separation rather than keeping him on the sideline.
