This squad reached youth baseball’s biggest stage after turning in dominant performances to capture the U.S. Little League World Series.

The U.S. Little League Baseball World Series champion Henderson Paseo Verde team will light the Al Davis Memorial Torch before Sunday's game between the Las Vegas Raiders and Buffalo Bills. The local squad earned the honor after going undefeated in the Mountain Region tournament and securing the national title with a 12-2 victory over Ohio in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
The tradition of lighting the torch began in 2011 with the late John Madden, while Carol Davis was the first to light it at Allegiant Stadium in 2020. The torch stands as a lasting tribute to the legacy and vision of former Raiders owner Al Davis.
