A member of the Los Angeles Chargers offense was fined for their actions in the Week 6 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs…

The NFL has fined Los Angeles Chargers rookie offensive guard Alex Harkey $5,277 for an unnecessary roughness late hit during the team's Week 6 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The penalty occurred in the fourth quarter at the 15-minute mark. Harkey, a 2026 sixth-round pick out of the University of Oregon, made his second career start due to offensive line injuries.
The fine arrives as the winless Chargers enter their bye week struggling under head coach Jim Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel. McDaniel reportedly faces pressure over the league's joint-worst scoring offense, with reports suggesting Harbaugh could assume play-calling duties in Week 8.
