Facing a 35-21 deficit with under five minutes remaining, freshman quarterback Paytyn Guess led two late scoring drives. After throwing a 12-yard touchdown pass to Tristan Brown with 13 seconds left, Mater Dei opted for a two-point conversion, which sophomore tight end Tyler Fritz secured for the win.

Guess finished the night with 214 passing yards and three touchdowns, along with two rushing scores. St. John Bosco quarterback Koa Malau'ulu threw for 357 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.
