"It's all fun and games because we won, but if it was a different situation and we didn't win, it'd be a lot worse," Rams defensive end Aaron Donald said of his missed fumble recovery in Week 8.

Los Angeles Rams defensive end Aaron Donald was able to laugh off a missed scoop-and-score opportunity against the Los Angeles Chargers because the Rams ultimately won the game 24-9. Following a strip-sack by Wesley Bailey on Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, Donald attempted to scoop up the bouncing ball at full speed but knocked it out of bounds instead of scoring his first career touchdown.
Donald, head coach Sean McVay, and defensive coordinator Chris Shula shared good-humored reactions to the blunder, with teammate Braden Fiske jokingly administering CPR on the field. Donald later led fumble-recovery drills in practice and turned his focus to the Rams' upcoming Week 9 matchup against Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders.
