Rams players share their thoughts on playing football and the potential for developing CTE as a result of taking too many hits to the head.

Los Angeles Rams players have voiced their perspectives on the risks of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) following a new Boston University study. The research estimated that 74.5% of more than 2,000 deceased former NFL players analyzed likely had the neurodegenerative brain disease. Defensive tackle Aaron Donald acknowledged CTE as a real concern but noted that players largely try not to think about the risk while actively competing.
Teammates Puka Nacua and Kevin Dotson also reflected on navigating the long-term health implications. Nacua welcomed increased information regarding athlete care, while Dotson referred to the trade-off between financial rewards and health hazards as a double-edged sword that influences thoughts on retirement.
