Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams have plans for the 2026 trade deadline, and Davante Adams is one of several keys to it.

The Los Angeles Rams are unlikely to make major moves before the trade deadline as they focus on welcoming injured players back. Head coach Sean McVay explained that the team views key contributors returning from injured reserve, including wide receiver Davante Adams, as their primary additions rather than outside trades.
Davante Adams recently underwent successful cleanup surgery for a ruptured hamstring, with McVay projecting a return on the shorter end of a six-to-10-week timeline. Meanwhile, McVay noted practice absences for Coleman Shelton, Colby Parkinson, and Joe Cardona following their Week 7 victory against the Las Vegas Raiders.
