For decades, NFL players have been asking the officials to switch to grass playing surfaces instead of artificial turf. The debate became a lot louder in the offseason after multiple stadiums decided to use grass to host FIFA World Cup…

Kelly Stafford, wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, has publicly urged the NFL to replace artificial turf with natural grass across all stadiums. In an emotional social media message, she called on the league to utilize its substantial resources to protect player health and establish safer playing standards for all levels of football.
Her comments highlight long-standing concerns regarding head trauma and lower-body injuries associated with artificial playing surfaces. While Matthew Stafford and the NFL Players Association strongly advocate for natural grass, citing elevated injury risks on turf, league officials have historically maintained that injury rates on both surfaces remain comparable.
