With De’Von Achane sidelined, Ollie Gordon II is stepping up for the Miami Dolphins and making his case as a key piece of their future.

Ryan VanHoover of DolphinsTalk writes that Miami Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon II has successfully stepped up following De'Von Achane's season-ending torn ACL against the Kansas City Chiefs. Gordon has emerged as a reliable physical presence in the offense, recording 100 rushing yards against the Minnesota Vikings, 88 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals, and over 100 yards on 25 carries against the New York Jets.
VanHoover argues that Gordon brings the tough, clock-controlling running style that head coach Jeff Hafley's rebuilding team needs. While Jaylen Wright has dealt with injuries and limited production, Gordon is maximizing his opportunities and could form a formidable tandem with Achane in the future.
