The Minnesota Vikings held the Indianapolis Colts to 64 net passing yards as Brian Flores paired heavy pressure with coverage disguise.

Brian Flores led the Minnesota Vikings defense to an aggressive 85.2 percent blitz rate against Indianapolis, securing a 16-10 victory over the Colts. According to NBC Sports research, this marked the highest single-game blitz rate since the Next Gen Stats era began in 2016. Minnesota restricted the Colts to just 64 net passing yards, sacked quarterback Daniel Jones four times, and forced a game-ending interception.
The Vikings relied on pre-snap disguise, simulated pressures, and key defensive playmakers including linebacker Blake Cashman and veteran safety Harrison Smith. Although Indianapolis gained 154 rushing yards against the scheme, Minnesota's constant pressure adjustments kept the passing attack contained. Looking ahead, Allison Koehler notes that an upcoming matchup against Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions will test whether this heavy blitzing strategy can succeed against top offenses.
