The Giants have brought in another Minnesota Vikings player, signing Jihad Ward off the practice squad days after trading for JJ McCarthy.

The New York Giants have signed edge rusher Jihad Ward off the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad onto their active roster. Ward previously played for the Giants in 2022 and 2023, appearing in 34 games. The addition marks New York's second move targeting Vikings talent in a single week following their trade for quarterback J.J. McCarthy.
The signing provides depth for New York's pass rush after Brian Burns suffered a season-ending torn ACL against the Tennessee Titans. To open a roster spot on the 53-man roster, the Giants released defensive tackle Josh Tupou.
