Apparently, the Vikings had a trade negotiated to move off WR3 Jauan Jennings. Consider what Ari Meirov had to say.…

The Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers reportedly agreed on a trade to send wide receiver Jauan Jennings back to San Francisco, but the deal collapsed after Jennings decided against the move. The proposed transfer was contingent on a call between Jennings, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, and general manager John Lynch, but the receiver chose to stay in Minnesota because he believes in the team's direction.
Jennings, who joined the Vikings following the 2026 NFL Draft, has recorded six receptions for 54 yards across six games amid struggles within Minnesota's passing offense. K. Joudry argues that trading an offensive weapon to an NFC rival was an unusual strategy for Minnesota, particularly with the 6-1 Vikings scheduled to play the 49ers later in the season.
