The New England Patriots have ruled out four cornerbacks ahead of their Week 5 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Starters Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis will both miss the game due to shoulder and neck injuries, respectively, while backups Karon Prunty and Channing Canada have been sidelined with hamstring issues.
Marcus Jones and Charles Woods remain the only active cornerbacks on the 53-man roster, though Woods is listed as questionable with a shoulder injury. Practice squad cornerbacks Kindle Vildor and Al'zillion Hamilton are expected to be elevated, while safety Jaylen Reed may also contribute at nickel cornerback.
