The New Orleans Saints have relied upon Tyler Shough to carry their offense. However, that's not sustainable given his injury concerns.

Drew Collings writes that Tyler Shough's mounting injury issues could derail the New Orleans Saints' season if the team fails to protect him. Shough recently had his right hand examined following a sack, which severely limited his passing depth, after previously breaking two bones in his left hand earlier in 2026.
Collings argues that offensive coordinator Kellen Moore must establish a reliable rushing attack to relieve pressure on the quarterback. The Saints managed only 18 rushing yards on 17 attempts in their recent game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, allowing defenses to focus heavily on pass rushing.
