Jonathan Taylor would be a major Giants addition, but an expensive trade and the Colts reluctance make the fit complicated.

Alexander Wilson argues that the New York Giants should avoid surrendering premium draft capital in a trade for Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor. Although Tyrone Tracy Jr. recently went on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, Giants general manager Joe Schoen noted it is not expected to be season-ending. Meanwhile, Wilson points to internal depth after Cam Skattebo and Devin Singletary delivered productive performances against Houston.
Wilson notes that there is no confirmed offer from the Giants, while ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Colts ownership does not want to trade Taylor. Given that New York already lacks fourth- and fifth-round selections in the upcoming draft, Wilson contends that the Giants should preserve assets rather than force a blockbuster deal.
