Lawrence Taylor was a member of the iconic “Big Blue Wrecking Crew,” which led the New York Giants to success in Super Bowls XXI and XXV. He wasn’t just any member.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor revealed on Instagram that he was required to wear a name tag during a recent visit to watch the New York Giants practice. The legendary linebacker, who played 13 seasons and won two Super Bowls with the franchise, expressed playful disbelief over the treatment given his status in team history.
Taylor's visit came as the Giants prepared to honor their 1986 championship team on its 40th anniversary during a matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Ahead of the celebrations, Taylor also rang the bell at the New York Stock Exchange and attended team anniversary gatherings.
