The NFL has launched an investigation into two heated confrontations between game officials and players following viral video footage. One incident involved Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride and line judge Jeff Seeman during a 36-24 loss to the New York Giants, where Seeman appeared to respond with profanity. The second incident occurred between Minnesota Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson and referee Adrian Hill during a matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
NFLPA executive director JC Tretter publicly criticized the interactions, calling the behavior unacceptable and demanding the league hold officials to the same standards as players. The scrutiny intensified following a separate incident the same day involving New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, who was penalized for arguing with an official using expletives. ESPN reported that the league is reviewing both player incidents.
