Quest Diagnostics settles allegations that it offered healthcare providers tickets and VIP events tied to the N.Y. Giants to induce patient referrals…
Quest Diagnostics has agreed to pay over $13 million to settle federal allegations that it provided illegal kickbacks through New York Giants entertainment events to generate business. Federal prosecutors alleged the lab company offered healthcare providers luxury suite access, VIP training camp perks, and draft events to induce referrals between 2013 and 2022.
The settlement stems from a March 2020 whistleblower lawsuit under the False Claims Act, with three whistleblowers set to share approximately $2.47 million. Quest denied wrongdoing, stating it settled to put the matter behind it while entering a five-year Corporate Integrity Agreement.
