Survey results: NY Giants fans think they’ll see J.J. McCarthy soon

A Big Blue View survey reveals New York Giants fans believe newly acquired quarterback J.J. McCarthy will soon replace Jameis Winston as the team's starter. Following a season-ending injury to Jaxson Dart, the Giants traded a fifth-round draft pick to the Minnesota Vikings for McCarthy. Although head coach John Harbaugh reaffirmed Winston as the current starter, the most common fan response regarding McCarthy taking over was "about as soon as possible."

Chris Pflum notes that McCarthy is still learning the foundation of the Giants' offensive scheme after arriving via trade. Pflum argues that McCarthy's mobility and athletic skill set make him a more suitable fit than Winston for New York's unconventional offense, despite Harbaugh's public backing of Winston.
