Chris Long had a big brain moment on 'The Green Light Podcast' about the New York Jets and the 2026 NFL trade deadline.

Former NFL player Chris Long suggested on 'The Green Light Podcast' that the New York Jets should trade quarterback Geno Smith to the Minnesota Vikings ahead of the trade deadline. Writer Kyle Crabbs supports the proposal, arguing that the 2-6 Jets are slipping out of contention under second-year head coach Aaron Glenn and should capitalize on Smith's trade value.
Crabbs notes that Smith is on a one-year contract, and moving him would allow New York to evaluate quarterback Cade Klubnik. Additionally, trading Smith would help the Jets secure strong draft positioning, with the team already holding two projected top-six picks in the upcoming draft.
