NFL: Fans Want Minkah Fitzpatrick ‘Banned For Life Over KC Concepcion Hit

Cleveland Browns fans called for New York Jets safety Minkah Fitzpatrick to be removed from the NFL following a controversial hit in Week 5. Fitzpatrick was penalized for unnecessary roughness after delivering a violent blow to rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion, knocking him out and causing a game-ending concussion. The New York Jets defeated the Cleveland Browns 17-12 at MetLife Stadium.

The hit occurred just plays after Fitzpatrick had his facemask flagged for ripping off Concepcion's helmet. Cleveland supporters expressed intense frustration on social media, recalling Fitzpatrick's history of aggressive plays against the franchise, including a 2023 tackle that severely injured former running back Nick Chubb. Browns head coach Todd Monken hopes Concepcion recovers ahead of Week 6.
