Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold has practiced on consecutive days as he works toward a potential Week 3 return from a glute injury. Darnold participated on both Wednesday and Thursday, taking more first-team reps ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Washington Commanders. Head coach Mike Macdonald stated the team plans to decide on Darnold's starting status by Friday.
Darnold sustained the injury during Seattle's season opener against the New England Patriots, with testing ruling out hip damage. In his absence, backup Drew Lock has guided the Seahawks to a 2-0 record by throwing for 422 yards and four touchdowns.
