Indianapolis' front-office shakeup and Buckner's frustration have sparked a new trade proposal that could help Green Bay's injury-hit defense.

Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox proposed a trade pitching the Green Bay Packers to acquire Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle DeForest Buckner for a 2027 fourth-round draft pick. The pitch follows Indianapolis's decision to fire general manager Chris Ballard after a 2-4 start, which has fueled speculation that the Colts might trade veterans before the Nov. 10 trade deadline.
The 32-year-old three-time Pro Bowler is in the final year of his contract, recording 26 tackles and four sacks through six games. Green Bay could seek defensive tackle reinforcements after losing Javon Hargrave to a season-ending Achilles injury and placing Jonathan Ford on injured reserve.
