Philadelphia Eagles edge rusher Nolan Smith exited the team's home game against the Carolina Panthers with a concussion and will not return, the team announced Sunday.
Philadelphia Eagles edge rusher Nolan Smith exited Sunday's home game against the Carolina Panthers after sustaining a concussion and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest. The 25-year-old was injured during a first-half pass rush when he was chip-blocked by Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard.
Before his departure, Smith recorded a first-half sack, bringing his season total to three and his career total to 13.5. His exit adds to existing injury concerns for the Eagles, who entered the matchup already without quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley.
