Joe Milton could lock down a future with the Philadelphia Eagles if he plays well.

Writer Richard Louis argues that quarterback Joe Milton has an opportunity to secure a long-term role with the Philadelphia Eagles. Amid a six-game losing streak and an injury to starter Jalen Hurts, the Eagles chose to name Milton the starting quarterback over Tanner McKee for their Week 9 divisional matchup against the New York Giants.
McKee struggled during his three-game stint as starter, failing to lead Philadelphia to a win. The Eagles signed Milton from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad in October, and Louis believes strong performances over the remainder of the season could solidify Milton's position as the backup quarterback behind Hurts for 2027.
