The Story in 60 Seconds

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has reportedly been fined $250,000 for his conduct toward NFL game officials, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer. Sirianni was one of three head coaches disciplined at the league's fall meetings in New York City, alongside Patriots coach Mike Vrabel and Jets coach Aaron Glenn. However, the reported fines are currently on hold and could potentially be repealed with good behavior.

The disciplinary action follows past concerns regarding Sirianni's fiery sideline interactions with referees throughout his tenure with Philadelphia. Back in March 2024, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie publicly addressed Sirianni's behavior at the league meetings, stating that while he loved his coach's authentic passion, overreacting to referees could prove counterproductive for the team.
