The Philadelphia Eagles have signed quarterback Joe Milton off the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad, according to a report from Jordan Schultz. The acquisition provides needed depth with starting quarterback Jalen Hurts sidelined for Week 6 due to a superficial blood clot, leaving Tanner McKee and Cole Payton as the only other quarterbacks on the 53-man roster.

Milton, 26, was originally a sixth-round draft pick by the New England Patriots in 2024 before being traded to Dallas in 2025. Although veteran Andy Dalton was also considered as an option, Philadelphia selected Milton, who has appeared in four regular-season NFL games.
