Zach Ertz: ‘It’s special to be back’

Tight end Zach Ertz practiced with the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday for the first time since returning to the franchise. Ertz, who was originally drafted by Philadelphia in 2013, signed with the team's practice squad on Tuesday following a comeback from a season-ending knee injury suffered the previous December.

Ertz expressed excitement about reuniting with the city and his family while acknowledging that any potential promotion to the active roster remains up to head coach Nick Sirianni and the coaching staff. Sirianni confirmed on Thursday that he is excited to have the veteran tight end on the roster.
