Browns Confident The Sacks Will ‘Start To Pile Up’ For Jared Verse, Who Currently Has None

Cleveland Browns defensive end Jared Verse has yet to record a sack through eight games this season, according to Steelers Depot writer Matthew Marczi. Verse, who joined the Browns from the Los Angeles Rams in a trade for Myles Garrett, has recorded 18 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, and 6 quarterback hits. Browns head coach Todd Monken remains confident in Verse's development and believes his sack totals will increase once the team establishes more leads.

Marczi argues that Verse's lack of production is notable despite Cleveland's 5-3 record and a defensive scheme that has produced sacks for other players. Monken emphasized that comparing Verse to Garrett is unfair and stated that Verse will continue to grow as he becomes more comfortable in the defensive system.
