Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy expressed regret following a heated sideline altercation with quarterback Aaron Rodgers during Thursday Night Football. The confrontation occurred on the opening drive of the Steelers' 27-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns, where Rodgers shouted at McCarthy to call a play quickly, prompting McCarthy to respond with profanity on live television.
Following the game, McCarthy stated in a news conference that he wished he had not used such negative language. Rodgers also addressed the incident, explaining that intense crowd noise made it difficult to hear play calls from the sideline.
