The Pittsburgh Steelers hosted former Florida A&M running back Terrell Jennings for a tryout on Friday at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex. Jennings, who previously played two seasons with the New England Patriots, was evaluated as Pittsburgh navigates depth concerns at running back and holds two open spots on their practice squad.
Pittsburgh has played two consecutive games without injured running back Rico Dowdle, who suffered a toe injury in Week 2. Jennings appeared in 10 games across two seasons with New England before receiving an injury settlement in August, recording 106 rushing yards, one touchdown, and contributing on special teams.
