The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently sitting at 2-2 through four weeks of the 2026 NFL season, and are coming off yet another loss on Thursday Night Football.
Following a Thursday Night Football loss to the Cleveland Browns that dropped them to 2-2, the Pittsburgh Steelers face major defensive questions ahead of Week 5. The secondary struggled after trading Joey Porter Jr. and losing Jamel Dean to a lower-body injury. Meanwhile, defensive tackle Derrick Harmon was placed on injured reserve with a foot issue just as Pittsburgh prepares to host Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts.
Former Steelers linebackers James Harrison and Vince Williams voiced significant concern regarding defensive lineman Keeanu Benton's ability to consistently fill the void left by Harmon. Benton signed a four-year, $72 million extension this offseason, and both Harrison and Williams noted that the lineman must show greater impact and justify the contract when taking on double teams against Indianapolis.
