The Pittsburgh Steelers may have just scratched a quarterback prospect off their board in the 2027 NFL Draft after Nico Iamaleava's season-ending injury.

UCLA quarterback Nico Iamaleava suffered a season-ending knee injury against the Oregon Ducks, according to CBS Sports reporter Matt Zenitz. The injury serves as a significant blow to the 22-year-old quarterback's potential draft outlook ahead of the 2027 NFL Draft, where the Pittsburgh Steelers are actively scouting prospective quarterbacks.
Still Curtain's Ryan Pawloski argues the setback likely takes Iamaleava off Pittsburgh's radar as a potential target. Pawloski suggests Iamaleava's draft projection as a mid-to-late-round pick has taken a hit, noting the quarterback may choose to seek another year of collegiate eligibility instead of entering the draft.
