Minutes after Penn State’s 28-25 win, coach Matt Campbell opened his postgame press conference with a statement on Ham, as well as a positive update, confirming that Jack Ham is in stable condition.

Pittsburgh Steelers legend and Penn State radio color commentator Jack Ham is in stable condition following a pregame medical emergency. Ham required treatment at the University of Washington Medical Center shortly before Penn State kicked off against Washington. Following Penn State's 28-25 victory, coach Matt Campbell delivered the positive update during his postgame press conference.
Campbell commended play-by-play announcer Steve Jones and the University of Washington emergency team for their vital, prompt response to Ham's situation. The 12-season NFL veteran won four Super Bowls with the Steelers and has served on the Penn State radio broadcast team since 2000.
