49ers’ Kyle Shanahan isn’t getting caught up in excitement after 4-0 start

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan stressed the need to focus on weekly execution rather than their undefeated 4-0 start to the 2026 NFL season. Speaking on Bay Area radio station KNBR ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field, Shanahan explained that past experiences keep him grounded despite the early success.

Shanahan cited previous career moments to highlight how rapidly momentum can shift, noting instances where teams started 5-0 and failed to make the playoffs or subsequently lost multiple consecutive games. He emphasized that the NFL is a week-to-week league where teams must prove themselves continuously.
