Keion White has performed well for the 49ers this season, and extending him now would be cost-effective and smart.

Writer Peter Panacy argues that the San Francisco 49ers should prioritize signing defensive end Keion White to a contract extension as soon as possible. The 27-year-old pass-rusher leads the team with 3.5 sacks through six weeks and recently helped seal a Week 6 victory over the Washington Commanders alongside Romello Height.
White is in the final year of his rookie contract, which is worth up to $1.812 million with no remaining guarantees. Panacy contends that extending White now would prevent a costly free-agent bidding war this upcoming offseason, especially while star pass-rusher Nick Bosa remains sidelined with a calf injury.
