Despite managing wide receiver injuries, quarterback Brock Purdy and head coach Kyle Shanahan have driven strong offensive production across multiple splits.
According to Football Insights data cited by Aponte, the 49ers tie for first in EPA out of heavy personnel packages and lead the NFL with a 0.33 EPA when fielding three or more receivers. Their most frequent set, 21 personnel, accounts for nearly 41 percent of offensive snaps and ranks first league-wide.
